The long road to international catwalk. Thousands of young Brazilian girls every year dream about joining the rich and beautiful via the glitzy and glamorous life on the catwalk. More than half these girls come from villages and small towns in the south of the country, and they all hope to emulate their role model, Brazilian supermodel Gisele Bunchen. Many parents invest a lot int he careers of their daughters, hoping they will make on day make the breakthrough and be able to start a new life far from the poor countryside where they grew up. MICHEAL ENDE accompanied a group of local beauties including teenager Gracielle, as they all take their first steps on the road to fame and fortune.
